New, used & refurbished containers for sale in San Bernardino

San Bernardino’s fulfillment centres and warehouse networks drive relentless container demand, and the city sits on an unusual piece of infrastructure: the old Norton Air Force Base is now an air cargo hub, with Amazon Air, UPS and FedEx all operating from it. Add the rail yards and the I-10, I-215 and I-15 junctions feeding the Cajon Pass, and freight moves through here by air, rail and road at once.

The county is also the largest in the United States by area, and that changes the job. A drop on the valley floor in Rialto or Fontana is straightforward. A drop up the mountain toward Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear means grades, switchbacks, and winter chain controls. A drop out in the high desert toward Victorville or Barstow means heat and often unpaved ground. Tell us where it is going and we will tell you honestly what the truck can do and when.

We supply new one-trip, used, and refurbished containers in every standard size, plus high cubes for warehouse overflow, all wind and water tight and fitted with a lock box. Modifications are done in our own shop — doors, vents, insulation, lighting, power, and shelving. Same-day quotes, multi-unit pricing for operators running several sites, and delivery typically within 3–5 business days.

On the way back from picking up parts we finally stopped by since we drive past it a lot. Solid spot — the guy working was super helpful and got us in and out quick with the container we needed. Prices seemed fair compared to what everyone else charges online.

Worked over a weekend to get us a modified shipping container ahead of schedule at a reasonable price. This company is the best!

I would recommend Shipping Container Depot and Phil to any of my business colleagues. They go out of their way to help you — very few companies like them left. Thank you for your expertise.

Andrew Simapay

Bought a container and could not be happier. The price was very reasonable, cheaper than the other quotes, and it was delivered on time — placed in a very tight spot for no extra money and with a smile. Great job!

Pro tip: the 40ft high cube is the go-to for container homes and offices — that extra foot of interior height makes all the difference once you insulate and finish the ceiling.

Container delivery in San Bernardino

Here’s our wedge: we run our own truck fleet. Competitors sell you a container and hand you off to a third-party trucker they’ve never worked with. We don’t. Our drivers, our tilt-bed trucks, straight from our LA depot to your site across San Bernardino County — typically 3–5 business days.

FAQ

San Bernardino container questions, answered

+What is the typical delivery time to San Bernardino?
Delivery to valley-floor locations is typically 3–5 business days from our Los Angeles depot. Mountain and high desert addresses can take longer depending on access and season. Quotes come back the same day and we confirm the window then rather than promising a date we cannot hold.
+Can you deliver up the mountain to Lake Arrowhead, Crestline or Big Bear?
Often, but it needs a conversation first rather than a booking. Sustained grades, tight switchbacks, low tree cover, and narrow mountain roads all limit what a tilt-bed carrying a 40ft container can reach, and in winter chain controls and snow can close the window entirely. A 20ft unit is far more likely to make it up. Send the address and a photo of the final approach and we will tell you what is realistic before you pay for anything.
+Do you deliver out to Victorville, Hesperia and the high desert?
Yes. The main things to plan for out there are ground firmness and heat. A tilt-bed needs roughly 100 feet of straight clearance and ground solid enough not to sink, which on unpaved desert lots matters more than space. And a sealed steel box in high desert summer gets seriously hot, so vents matter for anything temperature-sensitive.
+What size works best for fulfillment and warehouse overflow?
40ft high cubes are the usual choice — most storage per dollar, and the extra foot of interior height matters when you are racking or moving palletised stock with a forklift. 20ft units place more easily on constrained yards and are easier to position beside a specific dock or door. Tell us the yard space you have and we will tell you what fits.
+Can we rent through peak season instead of buying?
Yes, and for fulfillment operations that is usually the right call. Rental covers the Q4 build and the overflow that comes with it, we deliver and collect on our own trucks, and there is nothing left standing empty in February. If you need the space every year, buying works out cheaper within a couple of years and we will say so.
+Do I need a permit to place a container in San Bernardino?
It depends on zoning and duration, and this county has a lot of jurisdictions. A container on an industrial or commercial site is treated differently from a permanent accessory structure on a residential lot, and requirements differ between the City of San Bernardino, Rialto, Colton, Fontana, Redlands, and unincorporated San Bernardino County — mountain and desert communities have their own rules again. Confirm with the relevant planning department and we will supply dimensions, weights, and placement drawings.
+How much are shipping containers in San Bernardino?
Expect $1,400 to $7,000 depending on size, condition, and delivery distance. One-trip units run roughly $5,000–$6,000 for a 20ft and $6,500–$7,000 for a 40ft; used units run about $1,200–$2,500 for a 20ft and $2,600–$3,300 for a 40ft. Rentals start around $100 a month for a 20ft and $200 a month for a 40ft. Mountain and remote desert deliveries can carry additional cost, and we will tell you that up front rather than on the invoice.
+Do you deliver to Rialto, Fontana, Redlands and Rancho Cucamonga?
Yes — San Bernardino and the surrounding valley, including Rialto, Colton, Fontana, Redlands, Loma Linda, Highland, Rancho Cucamonga, Yucaipa, Bloomington, and Muscoy, plus the mountain and high desert communities beyond. For Riverside County addresses see our Riverside page. Send the delivery ZIP and we will price it.
