Beyond the standard 10ft, 20ft and 40ft — here are the non-standard sizes we most often supply.
8-Foot Mini Containers
Perfect for tight spaces where a 10ft won’t fit — small residential lots, rooftop installs and compact sites. Ideal for tool storage, secure document archiving and small retail kiosks.
24-Foot Containers
Frequently used for refrigerated (reefer) cargo, mobile offices and pop-up retail. Easier to position than a 40ft in urban settings, with about 33% more storage than a standard 20ft.
30-Foot Containers
Common in the rail intermodal industry and available as used / surplus units. They work well for long-term on-site storage and container conversions.
45-Foot High-Cube Containers
The maximum standard cargo volume — 9′6″ interior vs. the standard 8′6″. Used by retailers, distribution warehouses and large-scale storage operations.

Special sizes questions
What is the most common special container size?
The 45ft high-cube is the most requested non-standard size, followed by the 8ft mini container. Both are available new and used. Lead time on 45ft units is typically 1–2 weeks depending on availability.
Can I order a custom-length container?
Yes. We cut standard 20ft or 40ft containers to your required length — common requests include 16ft, 20ft open-side and double-door units. All cut-and-shut modifications are fully welded and certified for structural integrity.
Are special-size containers more expensive than standard sizes?
Generally yes. Non-standard sizes have lower supply than 20ft and 40ft units, so market prices are higher, and custom-cut containers include fabrication labor. That said, using the right size for your project can save money on permitting, delivery and site preparation versus an oversized container.
Do special-size containers qualify for rental?
8ft, 10ft and 20ft containers are available for rental. 45ft and custom-modified containers are typically purchase-only. Contact us to confirm rental availability for your specific size.
