Where you can put a container in Anaheim
Anaheim writes the residential rule in one sentence, and it is a narrow one. Anaheim Municipal Code §§ 18.04.030 and 18.06.030 both say the same thing about cargo containers in single-family and multi-family zones.

The practical read: in Anaheim, a container on a house lot is a construction-period tool, not a storage solution. On industrial land it is straightforward as long as it is screened and sits behind the front two-thirds line.
Anaheim is unusual in allowing screened outdoor storage yards by right in its industrial zone — no conditional use permit needed if the screening is there. If you are choosing between sites in Orange County and containers are part of the plan, that is worth knowing before you sign a lease.

Anaheim splits neatly into three delivery worlds, and knowing which one you are in tells you most of what you need.
- The industrial belt north and east of the 5 — loading docks, wide aprons, level concrete. Nothing to worry about.
- The Resort district — Anaheim has two dedicated resort zoning chapters, and the streets around them run on event schedules. Deliveries near the convention centre and the theme parks want an early morning slot, not a mid-afternoon one.
- Older neighbourhoods west of Harbor — narrower streets, mature trees, detached garages down long driveways. The gate is usually the constraint, not the street.
